Hull Playgoers’ Society is presenting Eden End at the Hull Truck Studio Theatre on 13 to
16 November. This early play is rarely performed and the new production is the first by an
amateur company for some years. Its last production was a professional one at the Royal
and Derngate Theatres, Northampton, in 2011.

Poole and Parkstone Players performed People At Sea at Holy Angels Church Hall, Poole,
Dorset on 30 and 31 July. This was the first notified amateur production of the play since
The Society started to keep records, although it was given a professional production by the
Salisbury Playhouse in 2008.

The Shaw Festival Theatre at Niagara-by-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, is producing When
We Are Married as part of its 2014 Season, continuing a tradition of presenting plays by
Priestley. Its last production of the play was in 1990, since when it has presented Eden
End in 1994, Time and the Conways in 2000 and An Inspector Calls in 2008.
